Surround yourself with people who care about making a difference - come join us! We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Environmental Services department at The Vista.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director and Assistant Director in maintaining a high quality standard in the Environmental Services department.
Keeps the Assistant Director and Director informed on the status of all assigned areas.
Trains and supervises all departmental personnel.
Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of the Christian Health.
Competencies:
Assigns daily work assignment schedules to environmental staff and monitors their work.
Ensures adequate coverage for all areas of responsibility.
Controls all supplies and equipment used in the environmental department and orders new supplies as needed.
Maintain safety and sanitary standards in the work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
Ensures that environmental staff follow proper policies and protocol.
Prepares annual project calendar under guidance of the Director and schedules projects accordingly.
Ensures that all equipment is cleaned and in good repair.
Responds to concerns and all requests with a sense of urgency and takes corrective action.
Assumes responsibility for the departments in the absence of the Director.
Ensures that staff receives initial training and ongoing training.
Assists in written performance evaluations and corrective counseling as necessary.
Prepares daily reports and informs Director of incidents.
Keeps records and appropriate log books current and maintain all necessary documentation.
Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings on a schedule basis.

High school Degree required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
Skills:
Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively.
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software.
Good communication skills; both verbal and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 3 years previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality.
Minimum 1 year of housekeeping supervisor experience is required, preferably in a health care or hospitality setting.
